Hi,

I am looking for help in deciphering the name of the burial ground in the attached image. The record was issued in Providence RI, but the family had connections in Fall River MA. Thanks in advance.

Lanarkshire / O'Neil family - Carmonnock & Busby
« on: Saturday 07 September 13 16:47 BST (UK)  »
I am seeking some help to determine the marriage date of my GG Grandfather Andrew O'Neil, who married Mary Ann Carroll.

Although they married and had three children born in Manchester, moved North and lived in Carmonnock and Busby. Andrew was a calico printer and presumably worked in the Printfield in Busby.

From a statutory birth record of his youngest son Thomas, born in Busby 1861, the date of marriage was October 27th 1838 in Manchester. However the only marriage I can find on Ancestry, is for the last quarter of 1840. Thomas has an elder sister Agnes born in Busby,1858, but I cannot find here details on Scotlands People. If I had found her details it may of matched one of the two marriage dates.

I understand that statutory birth registration started in 1855, so my query is what are the options for finding information for the children born before 1855 in Carmonnock and Busby ? Parish records ? Baptism records.

Oh and the last child was named Thomas Neil, not O'Neil !! So a strange twist why the name change between the April Census date in 1861 and Thomas's birth in October 1861 ?

I am quite willing to go and find any info if pointed in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Lancashire / Philips Park RC grave plans
« on: Sunday 03 February 13 22:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I am researching the location of the grave for my paternal grand parents in Philips Park. So far I have the following information: RC A458. I understand that the grave is in the RC section, area A.

Does anyone have a grave plan showing where the grave is located, or is it just a case of going to that area and simply checking each stone ? My grandmother was buried on September 29th 1978.

Any help regarding the location of the grave would be appreciated.

Thanks
