Trying to confirm the following baptisms in Comberton. These are from member submitted entries in the IGI, but don't quite look right.

1. Hannah Amps  Bap. 10 MAY 1754 Comberton
2. Elizabeth Amps  Bap. 09 NOV 1755 Comberton
3. John Amps  Bap. 02 JAN 1757 Comberton
4. Alice Amps  Bap. 17 JUN 1759 Comberton
5. Mary Amps  Bap. 22 MAR 1761 Comberton
6. Joseph Amps  Bap. 17 OCT 1762 Comberton
7. William Amps  Bap. 22 APR 1764 Comberton
8. Hannah Amps  Bap. 10 MAY 1767 Comberton

They are children of John and Mary (Purser) Amps.

John and Mary were married 26 may 1755 in Swavesey, so the 1st Hannah would seem to be incorrect and the date looks suspiciously similar to the second Hannah.

Can anybody verify?

Hi,

Trying to locate a baptism for Robert Beard b. abt 1785. He was married in 1807 in Harlton, Cambridgeshire and had numerous children baptised there. There are several Beard families represented in the Harlton Parish records, but no sign of Robert.

In 1851 his place of birth is listed as Newport, Essex and in 1861 it is shown as Wenden, Essex.

Any help would be appreciated,

Looking for the Following Family in 1841:

Daniel Bird b? Head
Mary Anne Bird b. abt 1803 Horsley
Elizabeth Bird b. abt 1835 Wotton
Emma/Emily Bird b. abt 1837 Wotton

I would expect the family to be in Wotton in 1841.

Daniel had died before 1851 when Mary Ann and Emily were in the household of Thomas Bravery in Westcott. Elizabeth was working in Abinger.

I believe that Daniel Bird m Mary Ann Wooldridge 13 nov 1831 St Martha on the Hill, Chilworth, Surrey, England. There is a death registration for Daniel Bird in Jun Qtr 1847 in Dorking, so he should appear in the 1841 census.

Any help would be appreciated,

Hi,

Trying to find my elusive GGGGrandparents in the 1851 census with no luck, so hoping that somebody might be able to track them down in 1841 to give me some more to go on...

John Peters
         born 1824 in Ockley, Surrey (census 1861,1871,1881)
         baptised 15 feb 1824 in Ockley (IGI batch C109911)
         Father : James Peters (Gamekeeper - marriage registration)
         Mother: Ann (IGI)

married 22 oct 1862 St John's Chapel Westcott, Dorking, Surrey, England

Elizabeth Bird
         born 1835 in Dorking, Surrey (census 1861,1871,1881,1891)
         Father : Daniel Bird (Blacksmith - marriage registration)

John and Elizabeth were working together in Wotton in the 1861 census. In 1871 and later they were in Dorking.

On the marriage registration in 1862 John was of Dorking and Elizabeth of Abinger.

Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Ancestry 1851 census issues in Surrey

I have been working with the Ancetry 1851 index and have found that areas in Surrey have been incorrectly indexed in Kent.

If you can't find who you are looking for in Surrey, try Kent. I have reported the issue, but have not gotten a response yet.

I found this first with Wootton, but there appear to be others.

Cambridgeshire / Searle and Bond in Cambridgeshire

I'm hoping that somebody can help me sort out the relationship of my GGrandmother's GGrandfathers.

Her parents were both SEARLEs who appear to be descended from (I'm guessing!!!) brothers (William b1785 and Joseph b1791 both born Barton) who married two BOND sisters (Sarah b1793 and Edith 1791 in Comberton - daughters of Joseph and Alice Bond). I found reference to the BOND sisters at Worldconnect, but am having trouble tracking down the relationship between their husbands. The families were based in Comberton Cambridgeshire.

Does anybody recognize these lines? See attached text file (can't paste the report since it hits the 5K limit)
