Hello all,

Does anyone have access to Henry Farrar's index to the marriages that appeared in Walker's Hibernian Magazine from 1771-1812?

I am looking for the marriage of John McDONALD/M'Donald/Macdonald to Ann(e) MURRAY or GOWAN (a bit of confusion surrounding the bride's surname) around the period 1806-1810, probably in Dublin city.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Kirsten

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1841 census lookup request

Hello all,

John McDonald, his daughter Jane, and "Master" McDonald sailed from Liverpool on 9 September 1841 for Sydney, Australia. They were originally from Dublin but it seems feasible to me they might have spent some time in England prior to departing. I am hoping they were in England at the time the census was taken.

So...would someone be able to check the 1841 census for John McDonald, b. abt. 1789 in Ireland, Jane McDonald, b. abt. 1825 in Dublin, Ireland, and a "mystery" person, Master McDonald presumably b. Dublin, Ireland.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks!
Kirsten

Hello,

Could someone please check the 1851 census for the WILSON family. Jane and Frederick settled in Ontario, Canada in the early 1840s but it is thought they visited the UK in the late 1840s/early 1850s as both had family in the UK at the time. They are not listed in the Canadian 1851 census.

Details as follows:
Frederick WILSON, b. 1812 in Norfolk, England; naval commander
Jane WILSON b. abt. 1825 in Dublin, Ireland
Ellen WILSON b. abt. 1843 "Indian Ocean"
Alice WILSON b. 1845 Ontario, Canada
William WILSON b. abt. 1848 location unknown
Agnes WILSON b. abt. 1849 location unknown

Thanks!

Kirsten
