Shropshire Lookup Requests / A will in an Oswestry Parish Register
« on: Sunday 24 September 17 10:44 BST (UK)  »
Hello
In the dataset on ancestry "All Shropshire, England, Extracted Church of England Parish Records" there is an entry that is a will transcript that is undated and that does not contain the name of the deceased.  I am trying to ascertain the date and whose will it is.  The item can be found on ancestry searching, with no date, the place Oswestry, Shropshire, on the the terms Evance or Yale.
The transcript available and record details on Ancestry are:

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Nottingham Workhouse, 1860ish - 1863
« on: Saturday 08 July 17 09:18 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am seeking any information on g-g-g-grandfather Michael Brady who is recorded as a resident of the Nottingham workhouse on the 1861 census.  On this census his place of birth is given as Meath [indexed as Meash] Ireland.
Michael died in 1863, buried St Barnabus R. C. church 31 December 1863.
On the 1851 census Michael is recorded in Nottingham as a 51 year old with wife Elizabeth & 3 teenage children.
I have been unable to identify any further information on Michael or his wife Elizabeth.  There is a death of an Elizabeth Brady recorded in Nottingham in 1855 but GRO index shows the age as 0 and this is not her.
Any information would be appreciated, but a main item is his place of birth, which presumably was recorded [the managers had it to provide to the census takers], and I am hoping is more than just the parish of Meath.
Thank you
Glenn

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Thorpes in Kellington
« on: Thursday 29 January 15 21:56 GMT (UK)  »
Hello
I am seeking infomation from 1705 and earlier on the Thorpe family in Kellington/Beagall.
Church records on ancestry/familysearch only start from 1705, freereg has not yet started on Kellington.
Odd Bishops transcripts apparently exist for 1600, 1603-1605, 1607-1609, 1611, 1631-1641, 1663, 1667, 1669, 1670,1673, 1680, 1696, 1691-1699.
Is here any way to access these bishops transcripts? I am in Australia.
Thanks for your time.

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Davies in Erbistock
« on: Monday 06 May 13 13:58 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am seeking information on the forebears of Thomas Davies, b Erbistock 11/6/1837 to William and Elizabeth.
William & Elizabeth both give their place of birth on subsequent censuses as Erbistock, William's year of birth from censuses seems to be 1807ish and Elizabeth on the 1851 (she died in 1853) census indicates she is three years younger than William.
I have the Erbistock Parish Registers for Baptisms 1815 - 1875 and Burials 1815 - 1875 & it seems that William & Elizabeth had their first child Edward in Sep 1831, so were probably married in 1829-1831.
Many thanks in advance.

Shropshire Completed Look up Requests / 1830 Whittington marriage
« on: Monday 06 May 13 09:08 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am hoping someone could help with the transcript of the Whittington 1 Feb 1830 marriage between William Davies and Elizabeth Jones.  I am particularly interested in whether there is any indication that either the bride or groom hail from Erbistock, 6 miles north.
Thank you in advance
Glenn
