Surrey / Annie Harper nee Spurdle

Annie Spurdle was born in 1846 in Broadwindsor, Dorset, England, her parents were Mary Ann Mullett & Thomas Spurdle. She married George Harper (1844–1893) on 10 Feb 1873 at St Luke, Chelsea, Middlesex. they had 3 children: Lillie Florence Harper(1875–1952) Croydon, Surrey, England, Nelly Annie Harper(1876–1960) Walworth, Surrey, England & George Frederick Harper(1878–1915) Clapham, Surrey, England. She appears to be at Farnham Workhouse, Surrey in 1895: Farnham Union minute books Annie Harper date 3 oct 1895, accepted by poplar union without an order. P11 ref BG4.11.6.
my questions are why was she admitted to farnham & was she ransferred to poplar & if so, why? what dates was she admitted & discharged?

Sussex / Sarah Pettitt

I am trying to identify the birth details for Sarah Pettitt / Pettett. I believe she was born around 1804 in Sussex. She married benjamin barrow 11th April 1829 where she is 'of this parish', Sarah & Benjamin went on to have at least 7 children, she continued living in beddingham but died in Lewes at the home of her daughter Mary.
Census 1841-1871 give her birth as Southease. I have located a Sarah Pettitt baptised in Southease on 8 july 1804, parents Samuel & Lucy Pettitt but i am not sure if these are the same Sarah's although in some family trees this information is included.
any help would be appreciated

Nottinghamshire / Eleanor Dorrington, Nottinghamshire

I have hit a brick wall in relation to Eleanor Dorrington. 1841-1871 census all suggest she was born about 1805 in Nottinghamshire but i have not been able to locate her birth, baptism, family members, etc.
The first 'evidence' i have relates to her marriage in 1826 in Essex. I can track her from 1841 owards to her death but nothing of her early years.
Searches for Dorrington brought up John Dorringto born c1811 but he & his family are still in Nottighamshire in 1851, searches also brought up several Darringtons - ??related but different spelling?
any guidance for locating Eleanor /Ellenor's birth / baptism or other Dorrington family members would be appreciated

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Mary Combs

I am trying to locate information on Mary Combs, born around 1715 in Headley, Hampshire to parents John Combs/Coombs.& Mary Hartley. She had at least 1 sister Jane Combs born 1719 in Headley. Mary was baptised in Headley 5 june 1715. I haven't yet found any other siblings. I have tried to find a marriage for her without success. several trees on ancestry have her as married to John Earwaker but none have the evidence for this so I am not convinced its correct. Any help would be appreciated

Cambridgeshire / Rebecca Kinsey

I am looking for any information on Rebecca Kinsey, born about 1770-1775. She married Thomas Spencer on 3 Jul 1796 at St John the Evangelist, Langley, Essex, England. I have not located any birth or christenings in Essex gor Rebecca but found 2 baptisms in Ickleton, Cambridgeshire. One was in 1771 to Sarah Kinsey & one was in 1773 to Thomas Kinsey & Elizabeth Stickwood. Thomas & Rebecca's marriage info that I have found so far does not give any details of eithers parents. I don't know if she was born in Cambridgeshire or Essex. Thomas & rebecca went on to have at least 8 children- all were born in Hertfordshire. She died in Hertfordshire.
Any help would be gratefully recieved

Cumberland / William Bowman 1781-1843, Cockermouth, Cumberland

I am researching William Bowman who was born & died in the Cockermouth area. I have been able to tack his children, his siblings & parents but have been unable to locate information on his wife Margaret. I believe they were married in Cockermouth about 1801. Their 1st child also called Margaret was born in Cockermouth & baptised on 12 September 1802.

Any information relating to their marriage, & her surname would be gratly appreciated

I am trying to locate inforation on the parents of Rebecca Young. She was baptised on 1st June 1777 in Titchfield, Hampshire. Her parents are recorded as Joseph Young & Elizabeth, but I have been unable to find out more about them. I have located a marriage on 23 Oct 1768 in Droxford between a Joseph Young & Elizabeth Strugnel - is this the same Joseph & Elizabeth?. I have been unable to identify Josephs birth or baptism or any information on his parents or siblings.

I am searcging for information on Margaret Ramsay. She married Archibald Gilchrist in Edinburgh on 30 Sept 1640 but i have been unable to locate any details of her parents or siblings or anything on her before her marriage. I have found several Margaret Ramsays baptised in Edinburgh but do not know if any are her. I don't know if her father was recorded on her marriage record. I have found: Margaret baptised 21/2/1613 daughter of George Ramsay & Margaret Kniblo,
Margaret bapt. 26/12/1613 dau of William Ramsay & Agnes,
Margaret bapt. 28/12/1617 dau of Alexander Ramsay & Margaret Scot,
Margaret bapt 13/3/1621 dau of James Ramsay & Margaret Auchmowthe,
Margaret bapt 20/5/1617 dau of David Ramsay & Issobell Trevdaill &
Margaret bap 8/10/1620 dau of George Ramsay & Janet Fleeming.
I have seen several family trees that cite a George as her father but have seen no evidence for this, some of the trees are extremely improbable. Any of the above could be the Margaret I am looking for - or none of them!! any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sussex / Dorothy Emily Barrow Born 1887 in Brighton

I am trying to locate information on Dorothy Emily Barrow, born 7 Oct 1887 in Brighton to Herbert Barrow & Sarah Ann Adcock, I can locate her on 1891 census where she was living at Middle Street Cottages, Brighton with her parents & twin brothers Phillip & Claude, in 1901 she is found living at Grove Street, Brighton with her father & step mother Elizabeth & siblings Phillip & Claude & Herbert & Lucy. I have been unable to locate her after this census. At some stage she moves to Argentina, we have a few photos sent to her brother Herbert, her address in Argentina is on the back of 1 photo. I have no idea of whether she married before (or after moving) or whether she remained unmarried, & I don't know where she was in 1911 or when she went to Argentina, I also have no idea when she died or where. Any help would be appreciated.
