Staffordshire completed Look up Requests / CARTLIDGE marriage
« on: Monday 08 February 10 04:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I was wondering if any one has details of a marriage between Samuel Cartlich/Cartlidge/Cartledge & Mary Leech. I think the marriage occured in 1800.

I would also like to know how many children were born to the couple.

Also in what year did Mary Leech die?

Many thanks,
Anne

Can any help me discover any information regarding William Jacobs born between 1823- 1832 Gravesend, Kent.  He migrated to Australia and married in 1851.

Several descendants have mentioned a  possible Jewish connection.   Was there a jewish community living in Kent?

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / CARTLIDGE DEATH LOOKUP
« on: Friday 05 May 06 04:22 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

Can someone help me look up a death or burial for ANN CARTLIDGE (maiden name SKERRATT) she was born about 1834.  She married THOMAS CARTLIDGE at St Luke's Silverdale, Wolstanton in 1868.  Last record of her being alive was the birth of her son Thomas in April 1871.  The 1881 Census lists the children living with their aunt and uncle.  Any hints or suggestions gratefully received.

Armed Forces / british in west indies before 1800

Are there any records regarding regular soldiers that fought in the West Indies?

John McMillin fought in West Indies in the late 1700's.  He married and had several children, while serving.   He returned and live in the Northampton region. Family legend suggests on his death Queen Victoria gave his wife some sort of pension.         ( which was unheard of. )

Any clues or websites would be most appreciated.

Anne
