Family History Beginners Board / The difference between cousins 1st / 2nd
« on: Monday 05 September 05 21:09 BST (UK)  »
G'day,

I wonder if anybody could explain to me the following:

What is a 1st cousin once removed ?

What is a second cousin ?

Cheers folks

Having awarded them my £7.50, I was delighted to read last night about peoples' favourite comfort foods.

Tonight, they are discussing the virtues of MSN.

This just gets better by the minute. £7.50 later and I am an expert on peoples' eating habits and MSN on the interweb.

I shall immediately renew my membership for life.

Lunatics, the lot of them.

Off to the laughing farm to meet my fellow members.

Family History Beginners Board / Genes Reunited. Am I going insane ?
« on: Saturday 03 September 05 21:08 BST (UK)  »
As I am brand new to genealogy, I enrolled on the above website in the hope that I could learn something.

On tonight's " Tips Board " , somebody has asked what other members' favourite comfort food is.

And !!!!  Believe it or not, people have actually answered.

I am so glad I spent my money to watch this undiluted drivel. It just beggars belief.

As I say, I am new to this. I have no doubt it will eventually become crystal clear to me why I have spent money to hear about other people's culinary preferences, and what connection that has with family history.

Never, ever again. They are all stark raving bonkers. What a rip off. I truly am speechless.

To all of you who helped me with my tree printing problem, thankyou very much.

Thank the dear lord for a site that actaully discusses genealogy.

Yrs, in need of a large scotch

Bill

I used to be able to view & print off my entire tree. It now seems no longer possible.

What in the name of whoever is wrong with those people ?

The only place I have my entire tree is on Genes, and now I can't print it off.

Nuts is an understatement.

Years down the drain in one foul swoop
