Fife / DOUGLAS BANK Cemetery MI's please NorrieG
« on: Sunday 30 August 15 10:11 BST (UK)  »
Hi NorrieG, are you still looking up MI's for the above? I just found out my grandfather James Campbell was buried there in Lair 328 on 25/9/1946.

I'd be extremely grateful for any info, as I'm not sure if he had a headstone.

Best wishes, Billiegirl  :)

Kirkcudbrightshire / Campbell and Mackay, KIRKBEAN
« on: Thursday 20 August 15 00:22 BST (UK)  »
Hello, does anyone have Peter Campbell married to Margaret Mackay in their tree? They had a son Graham born about 1788 at Kirkbean.
Someone on Ancestry has linked this couple to my family, so I'm trying to see if there is really a connection.

Thanks, Billiegirl

Argyllshire / Graham Campbell born Kilmore 1825
« on: Monday 27 July 15 08:21 BST (UK)  »

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any information on this Graham Campbell, or has him in their tree? I came across him in the Merchant Navy Records 1845-1854, where he's listed as a cook and steward. This is the only record I've found for him but I would like to establish who his family was as I believe he may be related.

Very grateful for any info

Technical Help / Can't open attachments in Outlook.com
« on: Friday 06 February 15 04:25 GMT (UK)  »

Hi, I hope someone can help. I have Hotmail but since it became Outlook I've had awful problems. The last time it froze I took my computer back to a restore point but that no longer fixes it. At the moment I can't open email attachments, or forward emails with attachments. I have Windows 7 and I think I've ended up with Outlook 2013.

Any ideas gratefully received as I need it for work and I'm not very technical.     :'(

Cheers, Billiegirl

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / BOWLAND'S Maternity Home for Navy and Marine Wives, Southsea
« on: Wednesday 19 November 14 06:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all - looking for a photo which shows this Maternity home in the 1950's or 60's. It was in Clifton Road, Southsea, and I believe there was a nightclub near or under it.   :o

Apparently it was a Victorian building but was demolished after 1968. It was near the Queen's Hotel, I think.

Would love any info or pics if anyone can help   :)

He married Elizabeth Louisa Abrahams from Isle of Wight in 1845. Some of their children were:

Margaret
Frank/ Graham
Harriet and
Eliza

Peter was my ggg uncle, and I was wondering if anyone else is researching this family?

Thanks, Billiegirl   :)
