Kent / Simmons Gravesend
« on: Wednesday 07 February 07 09:57 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, I'm seeking any information on the descendants of Thomas Simmons, Thomas and wife Harriet moved from Sussex to Gravesend in 1870.
The children of Thomas and Harriet are Bernard, Charlotte, Thomas, Harriet, William, Florence, Albert, Ada, George, Frederick and Henry.
The family lived 5 Albion Terrace and then 64 Milton Road Gravesend.  I know that Bernard and George died as children and Charlotte married John Humphrey but she died when she was just 21.  I believe that Thomas jnr moved to West Ham in 1901 to work as a printer.  Any further information from approx1870, on this family would be much appreciated.
Thank You

« on: Tuesday 18 July 06 20:07 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I am keen to find out any information/photographs of the Gravesend Coal Company which was sited at Gravesend Canal Basin.  I believe my Great Grandfather Thomas Simmons was once the manager, between 1881 to 1901.  I would be interested to know when the company ceased trading, and if anyone had any relations also working there.

Many thanks

Sussex / Thomas & Harriet Simmons (nee Pilbeam)
« on: Sunday 28 August 05 09:07 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I'm looking for information on the Thomas and Harriet Simmons family.  Thomas was born Ashburnham in 1817 and Harriet, daughter of George Pilbeam was born Burwash 1820.  In 1851 they apparently lived at Borzell farm, Ticehurst.  I would like information on both and ancestors and descendants of Thomas.  If anyone can help I will be grateful.
Thank you
