Australia / Certificates Received - Victorian
« on: Friday 15 November 13 01:21 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,
I have received a couple of Death and Marriage Certificates today. Not only does it have the information relating to my ancestors, but there are several other entries attached to the paperwork I received.

Would it be ok to post something in the Australian Research section listing their particulars? They may help someone else.

Im hoping some of you may be able to help me.
I have my Great Grandmothers Birth Certificate from 1872 which Has her parents on it.
I have attached Part of the record as I cannot figure out her parents birthplace.
What I can read is that :
Michael CAIN a farmer 34? born ???? Ireland maybe.
Honora formerly DWYER 28 born ??? Ireland maybe.
I really have no idea where they were born, once I figure that out I might be able to find when they arrived.
Would love to know your thoughts.

« on: Monday 11 November 13 01:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All,
I am new to the site and have been researching my history for quite some time, I’m slowly getting to the end after many hours and $$ spent. It has been such a rewarding experience, Im feeling a bit like a detective really, but at the moment my brain is fried!
I’m hoping that with you like minded people you can help me fill in the gaps and hopefully I will be able to fill in someone else’s gap’s here in Australia whilst on my journey.
Until my next post Have a great day!
