Can any one help. Trying to find the marriage of Thomas Cottar Connor born 1898 in Dumbarton to Elizabeth Sim Born 1900 in Fraserburgh. They probably married in Aberdeen but i dont know for sure.

They had two sons Thomas Cottar Connor [1921] and Fred Weyman Connor [1924] i believe Thomas Cottar Connor [1898] died in Aberdeen before 1926. Any one help.

Tried Scotlandspeople but nothing, tried Ancestry and LDS.

Family History Beginners Board / help needed LAC Gunner - RAF
« on: Friday 23 May 14 13:11 BST (UK)  »
My father was a LAC Gunner in the RAF. He was in Squadron 2773 [Sept 1942] and then Squadron 2738 [December 1956] prior to his release January 1946.
Can any one help and tell me what this involved, i assume he was protecting the aircraft on the ground, i do not remember him telling me he was 'in the air'.

I see that the Sq 2738 was based in St. Omer & Mons before moving to Bonn where it was disbanded can any one recommend any web site for more information?

Thank you for help Harry One

Family History Beginners Board / Joshua H Paul
« on: Friday 14 March 14 07:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Can anyone please help me-
I have traced my mothers ancestors back to Warkworth in Northumberland. The last known family was James Paul born abt 1707 and Catherine Hutson born abt 1711.
In the records it is shown that at their children's weddings and baptism's was a relative 'Joshua H Paul'

He was at the wedding of John Paul [1733] & Isabel Henderson Married 12.5.1760
also the second wedding of John Paul [1733] & Elisabeth Wilson Married 26.5.1771 and at the baptism of their daughter Elizabeth baptised 17.10.1773.

He was at James and Catherine's daughter Elizabeth [1738] wedding to Henry Potts Married 02.07.1764.

He was at James and Catherine's daughters Jane [1742] wedding to John Humble Married 15.05.1763.

Yet i have not been able to trace the said Joshua H Paul who could have been James Paul [1707]
brother, father or related.

Can any one help me in tracing who this Joshua H Paul was, i have tried many ways but have been unable to find his place of birth or anything about him other than being shown as a relative at the wedding/baptism's shown above.

Appreciate any help. Thank you
