From the 1911 I got the following data on a Vallis family which are not to far away from where most of my lot come from - so they may be related - I looked through all my research files and I just cant tie any other info with of them up

I looked through the FreeBMD database and although there are some that could be "possibles" they are often in a different county!!

For example for Bertie the only nearest one I could find is:
Birth BMD Q4 1907 Vallis  Bertie James     Amesbury  5a 155
or for Walter: Q2 1902   Vallas  Walter     Camberwell  1d 926
and for Percy Q4 1888  VALLIS  Percy     Warminster  5a 138

I'd appreciate it if SKS could see if they can find this family group on the 1901 - or give me a sanity check please!!!

Looking for family of a Jane Pugh b~1845 in Liverpool and Jane married in 1868 a Paul Smith Spencer.

I have them after they got married @

Looking for a Samuel John Pickard b 1832  and stated as birthplace Goldsborough, Yorkshire on the 1861 Census - Residence 1 Templar Terrace, Liverpool, Lancashire - Source RG9/2677 Folio 24 Page 6

Samuel married in 1856 in Bishop Auckland, Co Durham and died in 1864 in Liverpool.

So I'm hoping that the 1851 might put him with rest of his family.

I'm trying to get more clues on a possible Hartness family connection in the Liverpool area.

I noted that a Cornelius Jones married 9-Nov-1856 @ St Nicholas, Liverpool a Elizabeth Hartness. [Source IGI extracted record]

I'm hoping that a 1861 lookup would find me where both Elizabeth and Cornelius came from and went to....and possibly more clues for me to try and get some clues for me to go on.

I noted that there was a Hartness family headed by Edward and wife Margaret with children Thomas, Mary & Jane all bpt @ St Peter's in early to mid 1830's but have no idea if Elizabeth is linked to them.

I have a George DODD b~1820 from Barrow (??), Cheshire with his family in 1881 residing @ 9 Royston Street, West Derby, Lancashire - Source RG11/3710 f/52 p/10

Could someone please lookup previous Census years so I can establish more of his children etc.
