Sussex Completed Lookup Requests / John and Andrew Fenner
« on: Monday 12 January 15 04:48 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks to your previous assistance and others I now have the following :
John Fenner (b.1723) a blacksmith married 1749 in Pembury Sarah Ellams - he was from E Chiltington

John Ellams Fenner eldest son bpt E Chiltington 1750

Andrew Fenner (b1730 Burwash) married Mary How[e]  1750 East Chiltington he was from Hawkhurst.

The East Chiltington events took place over a period of about 18months. Leading to the possibility that Andrew was related to John Snr a brother or possibly a cousin.

Also John Snr. had a son named Andrew b.1761 (perhaps named after the above Andrew)

Investigations show that John settled in the Speldhurst/Tunbridge Wells area where the rest of his children were born burials at Frant. All 3 sons were  Tunbridgeware makers.
Andrew was a breeches maker/tailor etc his children were all born/bpt Mayfield Mary How[e] was the daughter of Henry How[e] and Mary Waters. The How[e] s were a Hawkhurst family. Ancestry Trees record unsourced Andrew as the son of Andrew b/bpt 1705 Mayfield  .I enquire if you or any fellow member can shed any light on this possible relationship

Thank you
Lesley

Hello, I am trying to trace a John Royle from Flixton.  He would have been born about 1631 in Flixton.  He married Mary Hill in 1656 St. Marys Bowdon.  I do not know when he died.
