« on: Saturday 16 November 19 12:28 GMT (UK)  »
I would be obliged if some members could look on Ancestry Northamptonshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1532-1812
On page 5 of 113 of Brixworth Parish Register 1546-1748 I am trying to understand the entry for 15th September 1583. Any help on transcribing this entry would be appreciated

Northamptonshire / Brixworth Parish Register
« on: Thursday 14 November 19 16:29 GMT (UK)  »
On Ancestry there is a marriage for Thomas Bray dated 26 May 1712 to a Hannah Russel but there is a  note which I am not sure of it's meaning but mentions Hesther.
From 1714 there are several baptisms for children to Thomas and Hester. Thomas is my 6th G grandfather but there does not appear to be a marriage for a Thomas to a Hester.
Can anyone tell me what they think the note says?

London and Middlesex / Elizabeth Collier burial 1878
« on: Saturday 20 July 19 19:15 BST (UK)  »
Elizabeth died 8th December 1878 in City of London Bow Road Infirmary she was a pauper, being paid for by the Common Fund, so where would she have been sent for burial. My thoughts were that the most likely place would be The City of London and Tower Hamlets Cemetery but no trace there. Any ideas welcome

Gloucestershire / More on Augusta Taylor born 1812
« on: Thursday 28 February 19 16:37 GMT (UK)  »
Further to my previous post and information received I ordered the only certificate for a James Taylor born in the Clifton Union (which included St Philip and Jacob parish) this was for James Augustus Taylor this showed the father as Samuel Wakefield Taylor a Sailor but the most interesting fact was the Mother Augusta Sophia Taylor late Taylor formerly Tayler This meant Augusta had previously been married to a Taylor both Harriet and Sophronia Augusta Sophia Taylor at their baptisms as adults and on all their marriage certificates had shown their father as John Taylor a Sailor or Mariner.
I have been unable to find any marriage for Augusta to John Taylor or Samuel Wakefield Taylor and any help to find these would be appreciated.
I also ordered the death certificate for Susannah Taylor in 1844 and this confirmed that she was the wife of James Taylor Brushmaker
I think this confirms that the Augusta Sophia Tayler baptised at St John the Baptist Gloucester 19 July 1812 is my Augusta

Gloucestershire / Augusta Taylor born 1812
« on: Tuesday 19 February 19 16:18 GMT (UK)  »
I have been searching for an Augusta Taylor born about 1812, in the 1851 census she is shown as born Bristol but in 1841 shows as not born in County. In 1841 she is living with James Taylor , Susanna Taylor and  Harriet Taylor also shown as not born in County together with Sophronia Taylor and James Taylor born in County. In 1851 Susanna has disappeared James is shown as head with Augusta as daughter and Harriet and Sophronia as granddaughters and James as grandson ( there are transcription errors in 1851 on Ancestry) Looking online there is a Augusta Sofia Tayler baptised 9/07/1812 Gloucester, St John the Baptist Gloucestershire parents James and Susanna. The Sophronia in 1815 at her baptism  is named Sophronia Augusta Sofia Taylor and James born 1839 is registered as James Augustus Taylor. Any help that might confirm the two families being one would be most appreciated

Worcestershire Completed Look up Requests / Edward Callow and Maria Jones
« on: Tuesday 24 July 18 23:44 BST (UK)  »
Edward and Maria married 3 August 1807 at St John the Baptist, Claines, Worcestershire I have seven children of this marriage all baptised at St John the Baptist, Claines, they are William 1810, John 1813, Maria 1815, Martha 1819, her twin Mary 1819, Thomas 1822 and Mary Ann 1825.
However there is a possible further son Edward who died in 1841 aged 29(GRO online index) giving a possible birth year of 1812. there is also an Edward who married 1835 to an Alice Polsom at Powick.
Does anyone have access to St John the Baptist, Claines, parish register to see if there is an Edward Callow (or possible other spelling) or access to the Powick parish register to see if a Fathers name is given or names of witnesses. Any help appreciated.
