A lovely cousin of my grandfathers sent me this photo. It's flaking and peeling and in bad shape but it is the only photo I have of Adalbert and Margaret. I'd be so thankful if anyone could help fix it up.

My father in law passed me a Gedcom of my husband's family tree. These are the people he has for us in Wales.

Bedward Davies
Born Jun 1831 in Wales
Married 1860

Their son
John Charles Davies
Birth Jun 21, 1846 in Wales
Death Nov 22 1905 in Brownville, Nemaha, Nebraska, United States


I've googled these names and dates and also looked them up in some of the links in the sticky post for this forum with no luck.

Can anyone suggest where to find out more?

Another one of my g grandmother in a bad state. It's in a frame and my parents took a photo of it. It really is going grey/blue and her hair looks weird. If any one could save it , I'd be so happy.

We don't know who this photo is of, it was found with no name and any one who might know has passed on. The Searle family came to Australia from Cornwall around 1850. But we don't know if this is the son, or grandfather an uncle? What age and date would you guess?

Here's Clara, She was 20 years old in 1872 when she came to Australia. I'm wondering if the hairstyle or clothes tell us if she was more eastern European or Western European influenced. Or was it all very similar back then? She is German.

I'm wondering if the mark across my great grandmothers face could be fixed and the marks under g grandpas eyes? The rest of the flaws I don't mind so much.

I have photo shop and can do minor fixes but this was just too hard for me. I'd love to know how to do it. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

I know that it really needed to be taken out of the frame and scanned, but it's not possible right now unfortunately.

Hi I have a couple of photos of Levi Meakins. My aunty says that one of them is Levi snr and the other one Levi jnr. I feel they look like the same person. Thoughts?
