Alexander MacLeod born 1864 married Catherine Clyne in Wick 1886.
I have,thanks to all the help from those at rootschat,loads of info on the Clynes.
I am a bit stuck on Alexander MacLeod.His parents may have been Kenneth McLeod and Isabella Sutherland but I can not cross ref. this with a census check as I cannot find Kenneth or Alexander on the census records I found on the web.
I want to go back in time but cannot until I resolve the parentage of Alexander.
Can anyone assist please? Thanks Sinclair

Sligo / Donegal Doherty/Shovelin

I want to find marriage dates (first recorded birth 1877), death dates and birth dates of Denis Doherty(dead by 1914) and Bridget Shovelin (alive in 1914). They lived in Upper Drumhallagh, Donegal and had 5 children from 1877-1899.
I have details from the 1901&1911 census and all dates connected with the children.
I want to go back in time but find on line sites for Ireland impenetrable. Can anone assist?

Sligo / NIXON -- Sligo

I am trying to track down info on my relative Michael Nixon who was born in Rope Walk ,Sligo.
He married Alice/Ellen Hargadon and had three children Bridget 1866 Michael 1874 Charles 1876.
I found a Michael Nixon as head of house on 1901 Census But no other info so no cross reference. I do not know if it is my Michael.
Can anyone assist?

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Brigham&Co/James Redpath

Can anyone help me find out about a company called Brigham&Co, Berwick, Northumberland around late 1800`s and if my GGrandfather, James (Ogle) Redpath, served an apprenticeship with them?
He was an electrician in later years.
I have no firm birthdate or place of birth for James Redpath ,so placing him at a time in this firm will help.
He was born circa 1868-1872!
If anyone finds the birth date for James Redpath, parents John and Mary Ann Craig I would be thrilled.He had a Newcastle and Glasgow connection.
2 years of searching Scottish and English records have left me none the wiser!!!!

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Berwick Company

BRIGHAM&CO. a company in BERWICK.Northumberland.
My GGrandfather James Redpath stated he had served a 4 year apprenticeship with this company in the 1800`s. He was an electrician.
I want to find out anything about Brigham&Co.
What was their address ?
What type of firm were they?
Is it possible to view company records to see exactly when and if my relative served his apprenticeship with them.
I cannot find my GGrandfather`s birth date so any help would be great in pinning his age down and where he was at a time in history!
At the moment I can only search via the internet and cannot personally visit record keeping areas.
I have searched the web for this company and had no luck so ANY help would be great.
