Family History Beginners Board / Ballincollig Military families from 1800 to 1922
« on: Saturday 24 May 14 16:31 BST (UK) »
Hello everybody,
Hello all,
I have to date about 1500 names of soldiers who served in Ballincollig, some only passing through. As I keep adding to the numbers, I am also trying to make the information as reliable as possible. If you have done your family history and found Ballincollig, please send me details. In return I might be of help. I searched for Ballincollig in rootschat and answered as many military queries as I could.
I am also side lined just now by a request from our local history society to write up a list of WW1 participants from Ballincollig and the surrounding parishes.. Coachford, Inniscarra, Carrigrohane, Waterfall, Ovens, Farran, Farnanes. I have about 200 names, of mainly men, associated with these locations. All additions welcome. Finding the dead is relatively easy. The survivors much harder,
Thank you all
Anne
