Tyrone / Family search - Bloomer
« on: Sunday 11 March 18 12:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help me with any details they may have on my great grandparents history.
My great grandfather Albert Bloomer (b:9 nov 1902-12/12/77) was born in dungannon to James and Isabella - he was one of 7 children.
He was baptised in St. John Caledon church in the parish of aghaloo
As far as I can tell he lived in Co. Tyrone for most of his life until in 1926 when he left for Scotland.
he moved to Rutherglen in Scotland where he met my great Gran Anne Siberry.

Annie Siberry (b:4/11/1900-13/12/72) was born in Sligo to John and Mary - she was one of 8
At some point they lived in Cloonlougher, Leitrim.
In 1925 she moved with one of her sisters to Scotland where she settled in Rutherglen.
She married Albert in 1928 on March 23rd.
They had two children, James and Margaret Grace (my Gran)

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me more about my great grandparents, and about their parents and siblings.

Thanks!

Leitrim / Siberry McDermott marriage.
« on: Thursday 14 May 15 00:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi - I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find out who Mary Jane Siberry married. All I know of her is that she was born in 1879, and married a man from the McDermott family. I believe she also emigrated to Newhaven, Conneticut. And was still living in 1940s.

Thank you for anything you can tell me

Canada / Jamieson family info
« on: Thursday 14 May 15 00:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi - I've recently found out about a branch of my family - the Jamiesons. My great aunt, Margaret (maggie) Grace Siberry [1882-1949] married a Francis Jamieson in 1913.
They had two children Mary [1915-1920] and James [1918-1962].
James married Margaret whilst he was training in Calgary in Canada, they had two daughters Margaret Rose and Helen Ann - who are both married and live in Canada.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find information on James and his family. James died in Toronto in 1962 after developing a brain tumour.
Any information on James, his wife and their children would be much appreciated.

Lanarkshire / Steel Family
« on: Friday 10 April 15 18:10 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I've managed to find a fair bit of information on my family, but I was just hoping to fill in the blanks now. My grandpa can't help me as he's got Altzheimers - so doesn't remember anything about his family.
My grandfather is William David Steel born. in 1931 in Lanarkshire, his parents were David Steel born 1886 and Isabella Cranston Hunter born 1899.
David Steels parents were William Dick Steel born 1858 and Isabella Allan Luck born 1855. His siblings were: Robert (born 1878), Margaret Shaw Luck (born 1881), Christian Dick (born 1883), William Luck (born 1885), Anges L (born 1889), Jane (born 1890), Thomas James (born 1893), Jessie Isabella (born 1896) and John Francis Luck (born 1899).

I was wondering if anyone had any information on any of these members of this family - or earlier members. If you had any pictures of these people or their children then that would be great

Thanks Sarah

United States of America / Mary Jane Siberry, originally from Ireland
« on: Wednesday 27 August 14 23:35 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find info on Mary Jane Siberry, she was born 1879, and moved to America around 1900. She moved to Newhaven, Connecticut. I think I found a Ellis Island record showing her planed destination was Ansonia. That record also says she arrived on the 22 June 1895 aged 16, and under a different spelling but I'm not thinking she might have gone under McDermott...

Any help would be great, thanks

Sligo / Marriage record help
« on: Wednesday 27 August 14 23:09 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to find a record for the marriage of a Mary Jane Siberry to a McDermott.
He was Roman Catholic , and she wasn't. She was ostracised from her family and moved to America around the 1900s.
I've been trying to find a record for her marriage but I've been unable to find anything, she was born in 1879 (I'm not sure where abouts in Ireland she was born but her family lived in Sligo, Co Roscommon and Liethrm for sometime.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Help reading Marriage Cert.
« on: Thursday 21 August 14 00:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I'm looking to have this transcribed, I know what some of it says but other parts I'm really struggling to read.
I know they were married on the 29th December 1904, and that he was an Electrical Engineer. But I can't read much else.

Thanks for any help you can give.
