Hi,

Wondering if some kind person would have access to old "Oban Times" newspapers.  I'm after an Obituary written for James (McDonald) MacDonald.
James died on the 16th Oct 1913 in Fort William.  The Obit was apparently written by the Minister of Kilmonivaig, Rev. John Walker MacIntyre.

Thanks so much in advance.  Dee  :D (Australia).

Renfrewshire / Carnegie Orphanage
« on: Monday 12 January 15 22:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
is anyone able to tell me if records exist of the children that were in the Carnegie Orphanage around 1900. I've seen the 1901 Census & it lists McDonald children that may be the one's I'm looking for. I'm heading to Glasgow in December & am trying to get all my research queries together, I don't want to waste my time looking if there is nothing to find.
Thanks much, Dee (Aust)  ???

US Completed Requests / *COMPLETED* Chicago - Clifton Family - Help please
« on: Wednesday 08 October 14 17:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I need help with deaths & a marriage.
Robert Clifton B: 31 May 1878, Kirkcaldy Scotland married 1908 Port Glasgow, Scotland to Annie Small B: 20 Mar 1881, Port Glasgow.  Daughter: Jane Macdonald Small (also known as Jean)
B: 5 Dec 1909, Port Glasgow.
Relocated to Chicago, Cook, Illinois in 1927, Robert a bit earlier.  I've found their Naturizations 1940 & 1941.  I've found all three on the 1930 Census & Robert & Annie on the 1940 Census.  I gather that maybe Jane (Jean) married or died within this time frame.
I've searched to Cook County records with no luck, any help gratefully received.

Hi
Looking for help on what happened to the children.
Alexander McDonald (1860-1897 Port Glasgow) m 1888 to Margaret Walker (1866-1924 Port Glasgow).
