The Campbells are a very difficult family to trace as they all use the same names and I will be pleased if anyone is connected with the family listed below. A family home at Easter Shian was built by Patrick Campbell in 1705 His and Margaret Menzies initials are on the front. His sons

Doctor Thomas Campbell b 1776 m Janet Chalmers family Dr Richard b 1777, Dr George,Barbara b 1781 Alexanderbbb1789, Dr Patrick/baptized Peter Campbell b 1779 born at Shian and Elizabeth b 1794
My Husbands grt Grandfather Doctor John Campbell b 1814,son of Doctor Patrick, m Barbara Williamson in 1855, was a naval surgeon before joining the prison service.
