Dorset / Iwerne Common, Iwerne Minster

I wonder if anyone can throw any light on my query please?

In the 1851 census my gr gr gr grandmother Arabella Green is said to live in : Iwerne Common, Iwerne Minster, Dorset? I know she was widowed and in other census' is said to be a pauper,  (John Green died in 1842). So,  would she really living outdoors on a Common?

The Common Room / What information re. Birth cert in 1799?

I cannot seem to get back before my 4x gr grandfather, born 1799 in Ribchester Lancashire. I think I have determined his parents marriage in Ribchester, but I need t be sure, hence I am wondering what information I could glean from sending for 4x gr grandfather's birth certificate?
Would both his parents names and their address or place of origins be on it?

I ask because I cannot find his father's birth in Ribchester, and I am now thinking he may be from somewhere else? Would that information be on the birth certificate?
Nothing seems to fit from LancashireOPC or Familysearch .org

Dorset / From Dorset to Lancashire? (Green)

I have my gr gr grandparents Elisha & Elizabeth Green and family in Iwerne Minster upto and including 1871 census. After that I cannot find them in Dorset at all?
They appear to have travelled north to Caton & Brookhouse nr Lancaster, which seems an awful long way to travel way back then? It seems that Elizabeth died around 1872 and is buried in the churchyard at Brookhouse.  Amelia married locally.
What brought them so far from Dorset? Would this have been for work?

Lancashire / Lancashire BMD

I have found some relatives of mine on Lancashire BMD and noticed some of the marriage certificates have a note to say they are not available? These are some between 1888 to 1915. 
Anyone know why that is please?

Family History Beginners Board / Names on certificates?

I am hoping someone can help me determined the Roman Catjolic spellings of names for my ancestors.
On FamilySearch & Lancashire online parish clerk project i have found the names: Gulielmi & Ellenae.
I have a fair idea that Ellenae is either Hellen, Ellen, or Elleanor, but what would Guliemi be please? Would it be George, Joseph or William?

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Writing on back of 1900 photo?

I have a photo of my gr grandparents and their baby (my grandfather) and one set of gr gr grandparents. On the back there is some writing which no one in the family can read, I hope someone here can decipher it for me.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Look Up please; Ridens/Rddens

I am at a complete standstill regarding my 4 x gr grandmother Maragret Ridens/Riddens. b.1845 Lancaster, but I can find no birth for her in Lancaster.
Hoping someone can find something about her for me.

Hi I hope someone can help me.
Avast says my computer wireless connection password isn't strong enough and that others can access my data and use my internet.
If this is right, then how do I make a stronger password for my wireless connection to ensure others don't access my computer?
The thing I am bothered about is IF I make it stronger, will I lock myself out of using it. I don't want to mess things up.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Robert & Ellen Atkinson in Ellel. When and where did they marry?

I had a heck of a brick wall with Robert's son, which I got through eventually.(he was born in Kirkby Lonsdale)
But now I have come up against another brick wall regarding his 2nd marriage to Ellen?
In 1861, Roberts first wife died in February a month or two after the birth of her last child Robert, when the family were living in Ellel. (Hampson).
The 1861 census shows Robert living on his own with his 2 boys. His son Stephen is recorded as a visitor with a family named Dixon in Sawrey. No mension of Anne.
Then in 1871 he is recorded as living in Caton with his last 2 sons (David and Robert) and a wife called Ellen, born in Caton. Stephen and Anne are not with them but Stephen is recorded as living as a border with a family called Routledge. No sign of Ann though?
In 1881 census, Robert Ellen and David and Robert are in Skerton.

My brick wall is, who was Ellen I cannot find her birth on Caton/Brookhouse parish registers.
Also, when and where did they marry?
 
Can anyone help please?
