I am looking for any relatives of Robert (Bob) Forrester Born 1919 or 1920. He died in Kalamunda Western Australia in 2010 aged 91 years. Robert lived on Christmas Island  between 1952-1973. He lived in a house adjoining the old cemetery on Christmas Island. He was a good friend Of Reginald Smith who was the harbour master in 1942. I dont know if Bob had children, but Im hoping to find any relatives who might be able to talk to me and help me with some research. Would also like to speak to Reginald Smiths son if he can be found. Reg's full name is Captain James Reginald Smith, Harbour Master, Christmas Island, 1942.
All help appreciated.

The Common Room / William Dawson - Surveyor - Where did he really die? circa 1870
« on: Sunday 12 August 18 13:32 BST (UK)  »
Need help with finding the real death place of William Dawson. B 2 May 1817 in Woolwich England. He was a surveyor with the Royal Sappers & Miners and came to Australia as a surveyor. His wife was Margaret Leary. He deserted her and returned to the UK. Maybe around the death of his mother in 1859. It is thought that he returned to Australia and later died in a Yarra Glen Asylum on 2 Jun 1870. I don't believe this was him. He was visited at the asylum by a brother named Matthew. Research has been done on this and has led to a different family. Further research has found a William Dawson in the UK who married a Mary Caroline Salmon and had a daughter Mary Dawson. It is believed that this might be our William Dawson. No divorce has been discovered so we are presuming he committed bigamy. This William died oct 1903 in Portsmouth Hampshire.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alice died 1913. Mary Ann Died 1858. Hoping someone might know something about the style of dress that might help us date it. All help appreciated.

London and Middlesex / Caroline Perkins Research
« on: Sunday 31 July 16 09:39 BST (UK)  »
Hoping someone might be able to assist me in my research of my Great Great Grandmothers family. Caroline Perkins was born 1837 in Middlesex....Parents were William John 1810-1840 and Esther Ann Cooper 1809 - ? (Father John Cooper Mother Mary?)  Her siblings were Ann 1832 George 1837 and William 1839 (twins??)
Caroline emigrated to Australia without her parents as far as I can tell. She then married William Dent in SA. She died in Boyup Brook WA.
Her mother may have remarried to a man called Richard Giles.
Anything on any of them would be greatly appreciated.
