Wales / FENNELL, William b. abt. 1770 WALES went to IRELAND

Hi,

I am looking for any information on FENNELL's in WALES in the 1700's.  I have no information on where the above person may have been in Wales, but apparently he left for Wexford, Ireland.  Was it common for the Welsh to migrate to Ireland?

Grateful for any information.

J.

Anglesey / WILLIAMS, Richard Llewelyn b. abt. 1905 ANGLESEY

Hello,

I am researching the above noted for a friend. WILLIAMS, Richard Llewelyn and brother Frank came to Canada but lost each other when they disembarked in Montreal.  Never to see each other again.  They had two other siblings Jane and Owen.  Apparently Jane went to New Zealand.

I am hoping someone may have info on this family.  I can't seem to find much at all. I'd like to find out whom the parents were. My friend tells me that Richard came from Anglesey.

Would be grateful for any little tid bit!

Donegal / HERON, William - Possibly Ballymacool, Letterkenny
« on: Wednesday 18 March 15 03:58 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Fellow Family Researchers,

I have been looking for the birthplace of my gr-gr grandfather William HERON, b. June 22, 1823 in Ireland. I am looking in Donegal given that a relative who did some research in the 80's (and whom is now deceased) noted that William's brother was Thomas HERON from Ballymacool (a carpenter) who married Margaret HUNTER April 26, 1849, in Conwal, Letterkenny, Donegal (marriage found on FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com).  My William came to Canada sometime prior to 1850.  According to the research in the 80's it was noted William came in the mid 1840's and that his father was Edward HERON. How much of a stretch is it that the family all resided in the Ballymacool/Letterkenny area since Thomas resided there at the time of his marriage?

My William was enumerated in all Canadian census records as being born in Ireland.

If anyone has any resources that could help me find out if my William indeed came from Ballymacool I would be most grateful.

Thank you,
J.

Down / Shankill Cemetery Info Request-CARSON, David b. abt. 1877 & wife Jane Cooke
« on: Wednesday 18 March 15 01:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I read an earlier post that a few members have access to information on burials and possible inscriptions of the Shankill Cemetery. May I kindly request a look-up for the above noted persons?

I have checked the Belfast City Council page. They don't appear there.

I have been researching the family for a friend. My friend, and great-great granddaughter to David and Jane Carson plans to travel to Ireland from Canada in late September and would like to visit the cemetery. The family lived at 18 Lecumpher Str. in the 1911 census.

Children of David and Jane CARSON;
Herbert, David (buried in England), Jemima, Agnes Cooke, Alexander, Annie.

Thank you,
J.
