Looking for the marriage of Thomas PINNEL(L), a Principal inhabitant of Gloucester City in 1791, and renowned land surveyor with property in Gloucester City.

Born about 1750 in Slimbridge, he is believed to have daughters, Ann and Mary (mentioned in a dispute over property).  Mary married John PRICE, an upholsterer in the City.

I guess Thomas would have married around 1770/1780.

Assistance much appreciated.

Flintshire Lookup Requests / CONNAH'S QUAY - BAPTISM LOOKUP
« on: Wednesday 04 July 12 12:21 BST (UK)  »
Looking for the baptismal record of Charles GRIFFITHS b abt 1857 in Connah's Quay.   He may also have been named Charles William GRIFFITHS as a correction was made to his marriage certificate in 1881 adding the William.
His father was John GRIFFITHS who was involved with the New Methodist Connexion in Connah's Quay.  His mother was either Mary or Elizabeth (or perhaps Mary Elizabeth or vice versa).

He may also have a sister, Mary Elizabeth b about 1854 in Connah's Quay.

The family is believed to have lived at Nine Houses, Shotton.

Grateful for any help.

Trying to locate death/burial of

William POWELL (tailor) probably in Berkeley, Newport (Glos) or Chipping Sodbury area.

Probably died between 1830 and 1838.

Was listed in Pigots Trade Directory in 1830 as Tailor of Berkeley but one of his children died in 1822 and William was listed as living in Newport.  His wife, Elizabeth, died in Chipping Sodbury in 1838 whilst living with her unmarried daughter, so was probably widowed by then.

Grateful for any help.

Completed Census Requests / 1901 Barmouth census - NICHOLLS/WILLIAMS
« on: Sunday 13 May 07 04:50 BST (UK)  »
Would SKS be able to have a look at the 1901 Barmouth census for

Louisa Mary NICHOLLS
b about 1869 in Twyning, Gloucestershire
Single
probably employed as a domestic/servant

She married Hugh Evans WILLIAMS (my grandfather's brother) and they visited California arriving in April 1924, apparently  for the birth of their daughter's child, born in May.  However, Hugh and Louisa are listed as living in San Mateo, Calif in the 1930 US census so must have settled there.

Interestingly, the only marriage record I have found for them is Jul-Aug 1900 in Lancashire (where Louisa was working in 1891).  I wonder whether they got married in secret as Hugh  is listed as working in Barmouth in 1901 aged 28 and still single!

Hoping the 1901 info will give me a clue!

Trying to locate Richard Humphreys b 182/21 Bont Dolgadfan, Mont.
He is a Master Tailor (Tentermaster) in 1851 aged 29 in Llanbrynmair.  He appears to have spent his whole life in that area.

Grateful if you could locate him in 1841 please!

Thanks

I need expert  advice please!  Desperately trying to locate the following family in 1861 (sorry, realise its needle in a haystack stuff).

Information to hand:

Hannah THOMAS b 1851
Censuses indicate she was born Carmarthen (does this mean town or county?).  However, her birth cert (presume it really is hers) shows: 19 July 1851 Hirwaun, Aberdare (District: Merthyr Tydfil, Subdistrict: Aberdare, Counties of Glamorgan and Brecon).
With her parents as
David THOMAS (miner) and Elizabeth (PHILLIPS)

1861 ? (age abt 10-15) - where is she?
1871 St Tydil, Merthyr (25) draper's assistant b Carmarthen
1881 Cardiff St Mary (31)  b Carmarthen (now married to BIRT)
1891 Cardiff (40) b Carmarthen
1901 Cardiff (50) b Carmarthen

Hannah was married by Banns  in Cardiff in 1873 and her mge cert indicates her father was David THOMAS (deceased) - publican.  The witnesses don't seem to be related to bride or groom.

She also had a sister
Margaret A...  THOMAS b c 1853 who married DAVIES before emigrating to Pennsylvania by 1907.
1861 ?? (age abt  8 ) where is she?
1871 ?? (age abt 18 so could be married to DAVIES  by now)

Questions:
1.  Would "b Carmarthen"  include the Merthyr Tydfil area?
2.  1861 census - where should I look for the family:
Carmarthenshire/Glamorganshire/Breconshire (assuming they are still in the Merthyr area)?

Thanks for your patience.
