Berkshire / Frogley family in Wantage
« on: Thursday 04 November 21 22:16 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for the baptism of Bartholomew Frogley, possibly around 1708... He married Ann Hinder on 4th November 1733 in Besselsleigh and the couple had eight children all baptised in Wantage (including another Bartholomew in 1749).
A family tree I have seen on FamilySearch suggests he was born around 1708 and was the son of John Frogley and Mary Gregory but I'm not sure whether there is any evidence of this.
If anyone can help with a look-up I'd be very grateful.

Berkshire / Frogley family in Abingdon

Can anyone help with looking up parish registers for Abingdon please?

I am looking for the baptism of Joseph Frogley in the 1790's or early 1800's.
He lived in London later in life and I have found him on the 1851 census with a birthdate of c1801 and on the 1861 census with a birthdate of c1794. He states that he was born in Abingdon and was a chairmaker by trade.

Kent Lookup Requests / Minster in sheppey parish registers
« on: Tuesday 03 November 15 17:33 GMT (UK)  »
If anyone has access to the Parish Registers for Minster in Sheppey and/or neighbouring parishes I'd be very grateful if you could look up the following:

Baptism of Catherine Wood circa 1783
and
Baptism of Stephen Mummery circa 1788

I know that Stephen Mummery married Catherine Griffen 13th May 1812 at Minster in Sheppey and that Catherine was a widow.
I have found a marriage on the IGI of a Catherine Wood and Samuel Griffin 29th April 1804 at Minster, followed by the baptism of a daughter Elizabeth Ann Griffin on 6th February 1805 at Queenborough. Samuel Griffen was buried on 7th April 1808 also in Queenborough which is what leads me to believe that his widow was the same lady who then married Stephen Mummery.
I can't find any more info about her daughter Elizabeth Ann Griffen/Griffin - not found a burial or a marriage so if you can find anything on her as well I'd appreciate it.

I know there was a Stephen Mummery born c 1787 in Great Chart but my Stephen gave his place of birth as Minster on the census. If he was not born in Minster it improves the chances of his being the Great Chart one.
