Family History Beginners Board / Ballantine's from Boyle, County Rosscommon

Does anyone have any information on the Ballantine family who lived in Boyle, near Lake Gara, previous to 1920. They may have originated in Scotland. Some of the family came to England, to Yorkshire and Somerset.

Family History Beginners Board / Woodhouse family from Milborne Port

Hi Can anyone give me information on the Woodhouse family from Milborne Port, Somerset. My Great Grandfather was William John Woodhouse who lived in M.Port with his wife, Bessie. She died not long after childbirth. I have a photo of William in Army uniform taken in India but I know very little about him or his family.
