Have I mised something? this is very odd did they take the body of the baby to Misterton for  burial?, how long that must have taken them by coach in 1849 ? The  Crewkerne railway station didn’t open until 19 July 1860.

Lanarkshire / William Ritchie flour miller born 1822 Edinburgh
« on: Friday 22 December 17 22:27 GMT (UK)  »

Hello.
I am trying to help a friend of mine with her family history as a Christmas present,  I am looking for the death of                                                                                            William Ritchie 59 Bn 1822 Edinburgh, Flour Miller in 1881,  Blythswood Civil Parish: Glasgow Barony, Lanarkshire,
He died between 1881 & 1891, I found a death that fitted 1894 in Scotland's People,                     I used the last of my credits to find it wasn't him! the one I have was an Ironmonger, Has anyone suggestions, I particularly wanted his death as I was hoping that it would have the date his marriage on it, it wasn't on his widows death certificate ,her name was Harriet Martin, born Ireland  about 1824, her age on her death certificate is wrong it has 60,I have searched everywhere for the marriage.

Thank you
Ann

His British army records transferred to Canada, looks like from 1892, - 1895 he served 4 years 15 days, he rejoined 9 Nov1899 -23 Sep 1901, he was an 1st class orderly on his records is
 "LIEUT-COLONEL A.M.S 16th COY- .M.S. CORPS. merchant" ?
