It just says Huddersfield District but is it possible to find out which Church without sending for marriage cert? Trying to find more on Muriel.
1939 Register she says that her birth date was 17 Feb 1914 but I cannot find any birth to match that date range anywhere. Once I have located her birth I can send for certificate which takes me safely back along this line.
I once had a record of Church marriages but cannot find the link now. Must get more organised.

Marriage 5 Aug 1901 at St Nicholas gives address of bride Margaret Ann Boardman, widow nee Dowbiggin 44 Dublin Street and groom James Todd address 52 Dublin Street. cannot find his death or where he was in 1901 to locate his place of birth. She reverted to her married name of Boardman in 1911. 1911 • Upper Beau Street, Everton, Liverpool
This census shows the 'widow' Margaret Ann Boardman (should be TODD ?) living with her two unmarried sons, John Charles and Albert Boardman.Trying to locate deaths of both. Obviously James died before 1911 as Margaret was a widow. Or was she?
Cannot find James Todd in 1901 The only 'close' record of  a James Todd that I can find to date is in the 1901 census, which shows a James of the exact same age.         He is a 'vagrant', born in Ireland, and residing as an inmate of the Walton 'Test Home'  (A type of 'Workhouse).     This may not be the correct James.......but if correct, might explain his inclination to not being around 10 yrs after his marriage.

On 1939 Register he gives his birth as follows;

he is in Sellar Street and says born Huddersfield.

1901 also says born Huddersfield

1891 he says Manchester.
3 Bary?Street,
He was a chimner sweeper.

Father James is an engineer. John is a boiler maker.
As they both (John and Ada) lived in Knight Street would it be any help to look up that address in 1881 to see if father is there?
As always all help, suggestions etc. gratefully received.
I wrote to DRO but they searched years on both sides 1861-1865 and could not find any birth with a father William.
Do not know where to go from here
