New Zealand Completed Requests / Ballam

I know this a very long shot but I am looking for info on a picture that was sent to me, it was of my father and I am guessing he was maybe in his twenties. He is with a young girl but no one knows who she was. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Derry (Londonderry) / Sarah Spier and James Graham

I am looking for information on Sarah Spier married to Jams Graham Sarah is said to be from Londonderry went to New Zealand where their daughter Jane (Jennie) was born approx. 1870
I know it is a longshot, hopefully I can get a lead to where to go .

Longford / John Ballam and Anne Jane Hawksby Ballinamuck Co. Longford

I just found that my G-G-G-G-Grandparents lived in Ballinamuck Co. Longford Anne Jane's family came from Ballymote, Co Sligo (not sure where John came from) they were married in 1830. From what I understand John converted to the Methodist religion and his father disowned him, (not sure if this is true or not) they moved to Ballyfarnon Co. Roscommon. I am hoping that there is some where that I can get more info on them.

Renfrewshire / Ferry Inn 1920's

I have found that my Mum's mother left the village of Duntocher to work as a housemaid? for the Monroe's who owned the Ferry Inn, in the early 1920's. I now it is a long shot, but I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of any where that has archives from that time or a local Library.

Renfrewshire / Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gallacher

I am searching for Info on Elizabeth Gallacher, she may or may not have use the surname Carlton. She was born in Duntocher but lived in Paisley and died there on July 12th 1940 at the age of 34.
All I have of her are birth Cert one census and her death cert which shows an RCE was done (I have no idea how to access that one) any help would be appreciated

Donegal / James and Ann Gallacher

I am in search of info on James Gallacher born around 1810 Married Ann Cunningham. I am assuming it was in Donegal as their son John was born there in i834. any help in where to look and where to get the info would be appreciated.

Leitrim / John Ballam, Drumshambo 1828

Looking for info on my ancestor John Ballam, He was said to have been in Drumshambo, Co Leitrim at approximately 1828 age 17 where he was taught the Methodist Ministry from Messr John Laird and Mark Crawford, from here he went to Ballyfarnon Co. Roscommon where he Started a business and married Anne Jane Hawksby of Sligo the Parish is Emlaghfad. Both John Ballam and Anne Jane's Father Jackson were instrumental in helping build a Methodist Church in Ballyfarnon. I am trying to find where he was born and who is parents were so I can continue in my search

I am searching for more information on my Great-grandfather, born 1875(approx.) in St Helens Isle of Wight. He died in New Zealand, he had he and his wife had my grandmother in 1907 and her brother Bruce in 1910. I never knew of him or the son Bruce, I met my grandmother's sister Iris who was one of a set of twins the other was Vanda, They were her step-sisters and story has it that my grandmother left home at a youngish age but no Idea how true that is.

Renfrewshire / ISO Elizabeth Gallacher

I am looking for my Mum's mother, I have her DOB of 23 October 1906 in Duntocher and she died on July 12 1940. Her parents were John Gallacher and Margaret Gallacher (McAllister) of Duntocher, Lizzie had one daughter in 1925 and a second in 1939, I know of no other live births. Lizzie was involved with a Robert Carlton, the death certificate I have lists her as Lizzie Carlton but they were never married, in fact the copy that I have was amended to show her surname as Gallacher and her true age of 34, Robert Carlton is listed as a witness to the death and as a friend. I have no idea where she is buried or anything else about her other than she was a domestic servant and had something to do with the Ferry Inn at 1 Clyde in Renfrew. All my Mum said was that she was the illegitimate daughter of Lizzie Gallacher and that she would come every Wednesday with clothes and money for her parents who were caring for her. I have pictures and info on all of Lizzies siblings but next to nothing on Lizzie, I am hoping that I can find out where is buried, I know it is a needle in a haystack.
