United States of America / Help! Maria(h) Statler b.1820
« on: Monday 29 February 16 05:09 GMT (UK)  »
I need help locating information on Maria(h) Statler b.1820 in PA and her family.  I have a relative who is adamant on finding the correct spelling of her last name(Statler, Stitler, Stetler), but I am not sure that is possible.

Here is what I do know.

She married William McClune in 1842 in Pennsylvania, they had several children.  They lived on a toll road and collected the toll.  On March 23, 1888 William got mad at Maria(h) and killed her and himself.  He was buried on the farm and she was buried in the local cemetery.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Durham / William Hodgson b.1845
« on: Friday 19 February 16 17:21 GMT (UK)  »
I need some help.  I have hit a wall with my great great grandfather William Hodgson.  I know that he married a Jane (Alice Bowron, according to family information) b.1845 and had three sons

Frederick William B. 1871
George Hildreth B.1875
John Henry(my great grandfather) B. 1880

John Henry never told his kids anything about his siblings or parents, except that he had sisters whom he named his daughters after.  He also mentioned that since he was the third son, he left for America, and ended up in Oregon.  I know that the kids were all born in Darlington.  With William being born in Eden Hill and Jane born in Stanley.  If anyone can help me break through the wall, I would appreciate it.

Regards
