This is a photo of my grandmother, Margaret Campbell (back row, third from left), circa 1920, working in a shirt factory, probably in Paisley, Scotland.  Can anything be done to sharpen this up?

The Common Room / New to Scotland's People
« on: Saturday 02 April 16 15:42 BST (UK)  »
I've struck out with my first two attempts to use Scotland's People.

According to my great grandparent's son's birth certificate, he and my grandmother were married in 1890 in "Alexandria".  I have searched on Scotland's People under "Statutory Marriages" under Dunbarton County, choosing "Alexandria" as the district.

My grandfather was Gregor McGregor Johnstone Campbell.  My grandmother was Janet "Jessie" McAlpine Sharp.  Even searching with just their first and last names (no middle names) and using both Janet and Jessie, I cannot come up with any marriage records.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would love to have this photo of the Kramer brothers restored.  They emigrated from Holland but I believe this photo was taken in the United States around 1920.

This is a photo of my great uncle, Gregor Campbell, 1896-1942.  There is a stamp on the front of the photo that appears to say "Royal Polytechnic Ltd, __99 Argyles Glasgow".  Can anyone tell me if this is just a name of a studio or would this be some kind of school photo?

I would appreciate dating this photo of my great uncles, Gregor and John Campbell.  The photo was taken at Regent Studios, 35 Cordon Street in Paisley and there is a question mark on the back of the photo after their names.  From other photos I believe John is the man seated, however John died in France April 23, 1917 in World War I.  Since the other brother is in uniform, I'd like to know when the photo was taken.
