Wexford / John Macklin
« on: Thursday 30 April 20 16:49 BST (UK)  »
Any info on John please.  Died 1893 age 71 in Redmund Place Wexford.  Superintendent of Wexford Railway.  We found his grave in Glasnevin Cemetary in Dublin next to my Great Grandmother Margaret Macklin (nee Kinsella)who died in 1897 so assuming a relative.  We have info from Glasnevin that the grave belongs to his sister Catherine Doyle but unable to trace any Doyle-Macklin marriages. He died a bachelor.

Dublin / St Vincents Orphanage Glasnevin

Does anyone know if there are records of the boys from this orphanage?  I am trying to find out about my ancestor Ernest Macklin who died on 13th June 1926 with St Vincents as his address aged 16.  I cannot trace the death of either of his parents James and Bridget (they are all in the 1911 census) so am wondering what happened to them all. Ernest was my grandfathers half brother. Many thanks

Dublin / William Edmund Valentine
« on: Sunday 12 June 16 16:42 BST (UK)  »
I have the baptism of William Edmund Valentine found on Irish Geneology on 13th June 1881 at St Mary's Haddington Road.  In the last column it looks as if there was a marriage at St Kevins Dublin on 6th June 1907 or 1917 (unclear as to which year) with an Adeline Monahan.  However I am unable to trace any civil or church record for this.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
