Midlothian / Tolmie/Porteous Dalkeith

Hi,
I've found a branch of my Irish family originally came from Dalkeith.
I found Henry Tolmie in the 1841 census with his father William, brother William and mother Jean. His mother is Jean Porteous. Her parents (as far as I can work out) are James Porteous and Isabel Cummings. Henry's grandparents on his father's side (again as far as I can work out) are John Tolmie and Elizabeth Canker.
From his first marriage to Ann Maxwell (1852) they had one child Christina. Ann died at some point before 1861, when Christina is found living with Henry's brother William.
Christina married William Warrington circa 1893/4 in Edinburgh. They had (an illegitimate) daughter Christina in 1893. Christina (sr) and William both died in the first couple of years of 1900's. Christina Warrington then married Jame Crichton a miner from Dalkeith. I think Christine Crichton died in 1974.
So, I've found a fair bit although some of it, especially the older links, aren't 100% certain.
I was just hoping somebody might have a few extra sources for the Tolmie or Porteous families working back, or even the Crichtons.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
