« on: Wednesday 18 July 07 22:53 BST (UK)  »
I found an ancestor on the 1867 Mecklenburg-Schwerin census.  the head of the family listed occupation as "Arbeitsman".  What would an arbeitsman do who lived in Teterow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Prussia in 1867?  Anyone with any ideas or information that you could refer me to for a better understanding of their living conditions?
