Roscommon / Andrew Dolan and Catherine Obrien Roscommon

Hi, I have been trying to trace my ancestry in Roscommon for the past 16 years and have also been frustrated by what I have found and would be really appreciative if anyone could help in anyway. My g grandparents Andrew Dolan and Catherine Obrien left Roscommon and emigrated to England. She was born around 1860. He was born around 1855. Her fathers name was Denis and he had a mill she came from Fairymount. Andrews father was Patrick and he came from Athlone. When they arrived in England they stayed with a cousin, surname Morris. That was all the information I have and I gave this to Strokestown genealogy centre on my first visit 16 yrs ago, although at this point in time Ididnt know their fathers names. From the information Strokestown came up with a family of Obriens from Frenchpark that I accepted as being my family as most of Catherine's siblings had the same Christian names as my Aunts. Well after 5 or 6 trips to Roscommon during which time I have met many lovely people who are now my friends, I discovered that " my Catherine" (as I thought) had emigrated to Australia where she lived for the rest of her life. Well as you might imagine I was gutted at this discovery so many trips spent searching graveyards etc. I also know of Fairymount where the church is close to Castlerea as that was my first point of call on my first trip and when I saw the sign Fairymount as we drove up the hill  I thought this is going to be easy. How wrong can you be! I have recently discovered that in the town land of Fairymount in the parish of Kilgefin  in the griffihs valuation there were no Obriens or Dolans in that Fairymount at the time of the valuation, but in the town land of Clooneenbaun which close there were Obriens including a Denis who had a mill and Dolans one of which  was an Andrew who could have been related to my Andrew. If anyone can make sense of this and can help I would be eternally grateful and I will make another trip to Roscommon in the Summer. Many thanks Michael Wray.
