This is a bit of a long shot I know but I was wondering if anyone had a photograph of my grandmother. She was born Emily Elizabeth Penney in 1886, St Saviour, Surrey. She was married 4 times firstly to William John or John William Farmer, marriage details unknown, (2) William Dudley, marriage details unknown, (3) Albert Edward Jacobs 31st March 1919, Kennington, London and (4) Sidney Page, 1933, Lambeth, London. Any advice will be greatly received.

The Common Room / Looking for burial record of Hilary Patricia de Vine Hoflin
« on: Monday 19 August 19 20:17 BST (UK)  »
Hilary Patricia de Vine Hoflin died on 5th November 1944 in Brompton Hospital Kensington. Unfortunately, her burial place is not known. In the 'occupation' section of the death certificate, it states that she was of Evington (?) Cleland Road, Gerrards Cross, Bucks and a hospital nurse. A very elderly aunt would dearly love to know where she is buried. Any help will be gratefully received. Many thanks

The Common Room / Looking for my great grandmother's birth
« on: Monday 17 June 19 15:46 BST (UK)  »
I've been looking for my great grandmother's birth (on and off - another brick wall that I keep coming back to) for some time now. She married a Walter Thomas Penney in 1880 at St Mary's Newington, Surrey. Her name on the marriage certificate is Caroline Ercy Webb and her father's name is William Webb. On the 1881 Census it shows her birthplace as being what looks like Limehouse, Middlesex. I have searched the parish records on Ancestry and the only 'Carolines' I could find were  Caroline Hurst Webb and Caroline Rush (Ruth?) Webb which aren't her. As always, any help and advice to find her birth record will be gratefully received.

The Common Room / Looking for my grandfather's burial place
« on: Tuesday 11 June 19 17:04 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I wonder if anyone can help me find the burial place of my grandfather please. I have been searching for this for some time but have not had any luck. His name is William Dudley and he died in Newington Workhouse, Westmoreland Road on the 5th July 1918.  I know this because I obtained his entry in the Discharge Record for this Workhouse from the LMA. The Registration District on his death certificate is Southwark and the sub district is Newington South. The burial will almost certainly be a pauper burial.
The records I have searched or had searched are as follows:-

Lambeth Archives (Minet Library) Lambeth Cemetery Registers June 1913 - 1922
Norwood Cemetery - 19th February 1915 to 16th Aug 1919
Brookwood Register of Burials - April 1913 to June 1920
Camberwell Old Cemetery
Nunhead Burial Records April 1915 to December 1918
Streatham Park Cemetery
Wandsworth Cemetery
Battersea New Cemetery (Morden)
St. Mary's Cemetery
Putney Lower Common Cemetery
Putney Vale Cemetery and Crematorium
Kensington & Chelsea Cemetery
Brompton Cemetery
Kensal Green Cemetery

I have also asked Southwark Local Studies library for help - no reply received yet and the LMA and Surrey History Centre.

Does anyone know which cemetery had the contract for burying the dead from this workhouse in this period?

Mnay thanks

Any information or advice you can give me will be gratefully received.

I'm having to buy a new pc which will run using Windows 10. I use Family Tree Maker 2005 and would like to keep using it when I get this new machine. Does anyone know if FTM 2005 runs okay on Windows 10 please?

Does anyone know if a plan exists showing the burial plots of the churchyard of St Thomas a Beckett church in Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Derbyshire.

I'm looking for the burial plot where a little girl called Judith Barratt was buried in 1942. I'm doing this research on behalf of a friend (I'm an amateur genealogist). They paid for some research to be done at the DRO to confirm she was buried there as I live in Hants and can't do the leg work myself. The Derbyshire FHS have confirmed that there is no headstone.
