I am looking for information re a TERENCE LOGAN born in Ireland. From his death certificate he died in Liverpool aged 61, his wife is named as Maria and he was a gardener, they lived at 20 Comus St Liverpool.
They had a son Edward Anthony and a daughter Isabella who may have been twins re info on the 1841 census that states both their ages as 15, birth abt 1826 in Manchester.
DO not know when Terence and Maria came to England
Isabella married a Charles Thursby. Edward married Hannah Hill in 1859,on the marriage cert. it states that Terence is a FLORIST.
Edward became a Chief Engineer working for P&O on the mail run to Australia.Have not found birth certd.
I have managed to trace 3 of Edward and Hannahs sons they came to Australia a daughter Florence died as a child. Two other sons became Professors 1 of Music and I Languages their names were Frederick b1886 and Edwin 1877 - 1938 but I do not know which was which,Edwin married a lady Dorinda.

« on: Thursday 18 January 18 05:18 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for any information on Catherine Keane born 19 April 1832, Castlebar, Mayoand her brother Michael 1831.
Convicted together at Mayo on 3 January 1849, for stealing 3 sheep, both sentenced to 7 years in Tasmania.
Michael died in Richmond (Bridewell) prison,Dublin aged 18 years.
Catherine lived in Longford, Tasmania and died aged 93 in 1925, possibly the last convict woman to die there.
She married John Smith and had 9 children.
Her life in Ireland is a mystery, one theory is that she was from a travellor/gypsy family, as she had very long black hair ,wore large hoop earings, and was partial to smoking a clay pipe.
