The Common Room / Isaac Hawkins Morrison Rear Admiral
« on: Friday 22 November 19 17:31 GMT (UK)  »
I don't know if anyone is bored on a Friday and fancies a challenge, but I have been trying to research the person above.
In the Navy Dictionary it says;
"ISAAC HAWKINS MORRISON, Esq. [Post-Captain of 1814.] Entered the navy under the patronage of the late Isaac Hawkins Browne" ... Clearly from the names there must have been a link between the families, and IHM must have been named after IHB (or probably his father of the same name). There is no evidence the Morrison family were well off and I can't find any links - so any suggestions or help on how these families were related is what I'm looking for!

Would be very grateful for any help transcribing this; sorry it is a bit longer than usual requests on here, but I'm absolutely awful at reading old handwriting.
Thanks in advance for any help!

This is the one part of my tree I've been stuck on for ages and can't make any progress. Wondered if someone might be able to make any suggestions what to do.

Annie Stapleton married Charles Thomas Frogley in Woolwich in 1868

In the 1871 census, Piece: 777; Folio: 47; Page: 9, it says she was born in St Helens, Lancashire, circa 1850
1881 census; Piece   713,Folio   9,Page number   12 .. says the same thing
as does 1891; Sub Schedule Number 22 Piece 1321 Folio 90

The only piece of information I have on her family is that on the Marriage Record it gives her father as Richard.
London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1932
Marriage Date   22/12/1868

But I can't find any birth or baptism records at all around the 1850s in St Helens that correspond to this. There are a couple of possibilities for other parent names, or alternatively a record in Leeds for a Mary Anne Stapleton born to a Richard in 51, but this doesn't fit her birth location either.

Much appreciated if anyone can help!

Hi,
My 4th great grandfather James Warwick was born around the Blackmore / Chelmsford area about 1789 or slightly before. I was wondering if anyone who had access to the online records system might be able to check if there is any baptism record around that time, and also a marriage arecord around 1910 to Margaret (Knight possibly). I have dna matches to other descendents of Waricks in the Chelmsford area in the mid 1700s so  I am only one or two ancestors from being able to link this up.
Thanks very much for any help!
best, Tom

I have some relatives buried in the General Cemetery and I'm going up on Tuesday, I wanted to know if headstones exist for the graves im looking for, and even better if anyone has any maps or even rough location where within the cemtery i would need to be looking.
The graves are

3522

Thanks in advance for any help!
