Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Mysterious Edward Smith - birth/death?

Please can you help with info or advice? My ghast is well and truly flabbered!!
Edward Smith (son of John Smith, farmer) married spinster Harriet Nilon in 1904 in Keighley West Yorks (St Annes RC Church I think).
Then five years later Harriet, a widow, pops back to marry Patrick Fleming in 1909 again St Annes.
Appreciate any help gathering even a sprinkle of info on poor Edward. Then I can order death certificate. Tried FreeBSD and local newspaper indexes without anything!!
I only know he exists because I finally got the right marriage certificate.
