I am baffled! I have 20% Scottish DNA which is a pretty big chunk!
Yet I can find no Scottish relatives at all! Starting to doubt the validity and accuracy of these tests.

Anglesey / Professional records... methodist minister and pier master
« on: Thursday 10 October 19 14:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi my great great uncle Richard Lloyd (dob 1844) was a Calvinistic methodist minister living at 45 church street Beaumaris with his wife Emma (nee PRICE) IN 1881. He then was the pier master in the early 1900’s, from what I can gather he lived at Bron menai until 1904, opposite the pier until his wife died. There was then a public sale of many of his belongings and after that he lived at Arch Cottage, 2 Wall Street, which I believe is now the Janet Bell gallery. This is where he died in 1925, 7th February.
I don’t know if anyone could help but I’m just trying to find out anything about his life. I can’t find anything about his in a professional capacity which I find strange. I thought there may have been more information or photos?
Anything at all that you could help with would be very much appreciated.

World War One / Help finding info on great great uncle..WW1 14th Manchester reg
« on: Thursday 10 October 19 11:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I’m trying to find out more about my great great uncle who served as a sgt in the 14th batt Manchester regiment in WW1. I have his enlistment papers and his medal card but can’t find anything else. His Regimental number was 13816 and he enlisted on November 9th 1914.
I was told that he was shot in the face, it went through his lower jaw and cheek, he survived but was left disfigured and with difficulty speaking.
I’ve been searching for days and have not found anything to corroborate his injuries or find his discharge papers. If anyone could help I’d be very appreciative!
Thank you

The Common Room / Welsh Calvinistic Methodist clergy records
« on: Thursday 16 August 18 20:06 BST (UK)  »
I’ve hit a brick wall trying to find information on my great great uncle, Richard Lloyd (b1844, d1925) he is listed in the 1881 census as a Calvinistic Methodist minister, living with his wife Emma in Beaumaris, Anglesey.
I’ve been searching church websites but there was a split from the Church of England for the Calvinistic Methodists in wales around the turn of that century so I’ve found it quite limiting what I can find out.
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Edith Doreen Lloyd b1911 d1978
« on: Saturday 14 July 18 15:03 BST (UK)  »
I’m trying to find as much information as I can about my great aunt. She had a very sad life and as far as I know, never married or had children. She dies in parkside mental asylum in Macclesfield in 1978, she was admitted in 1975.
she was called Edith Doreen Lloyd b.1911 and was from Widnes.
Nobody in the family has any photos of her and although I know where she is buried she has no gravestone.
If anyone could help I’d very much appreciate it. I just want her to be remembered in some way.
I’d like a copy of her death certificate but I don’t know the code to order it.
Many thanks
Tracy
