I wondered if anyone may help with any information about this photograph taken sometime during WW2.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi

I believe the man on the left hand side of the photograph (holding the child) is my Wilson ancestor. I would be really grateful if some one could put a date on when the photograph may have been taken. I have tried to research the photographer John Trotter Jr of Dalkeith without success. I have posted the front and back of the photograph.

Many thanks for your help

Stirlingshire / Tracing a Scottish Marriage: Charles Wilson & Cathrin Claperton
« on: Monday 02 October 17 14:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I am trying to trace a marriage bann or marriage for Charles Wilson and Cathrin Claperton. They first appear with the christening of their daughter Ann Wilson on 1/6/1805 in Larbert, Stirling. I have also found the baptism entry for my great great grandfather William on 25/2/1810 in Muiravonside, Stirling. I have searched on Scotlands People and cannot trace a marriage for Charles and Cathrin. This is not helped by the variation in the spelling of Cathrin/Katherine Clapperton/Claperton.

Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions to move forward or should I assume that the marriage has not been recorded?

Thanks

Fife / Christie Family Carnock, Fife
« on: Friday 07 July 17 14:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi, this is my first time posting so I hope I have done it right! I am looking for information on my great great grandmother's family. Her name was Margaret Christie and she was born in 1820 in Carnock, Fife. Her parents were John Christie a Sawyer born 1782 in Carnock Fife and Christian Thomson born 1784 in Falkirk, they had seven children in total: Agnas, John,Margaret, William, Christian and Robert.

Margaret went on to marry William Wilson in 1850 in Falkirk, Scotland and they had 6 children: John Christie, Charles Lewis, Christina, Lewis, Catherine and William Christie. She died in 1904 in Calender, Perth, Scotland. I have attached a photograph of Margaret Christie.

Many thanks

Anna
