Banffshire / death of a child who was in the care of someone and parent is also on death cert

Hello from a warm down under and Happy Hogmany to you all.

Whilst searching for family I have come across an infant who died and the place of residence and person in charge is listed differently to that of the Childs mother who is also listed on the death certificate.

Why would this be so?

I have been looking a a death certificate and it mentions a cottage in Longmanhill I can't work out the first letter so if anyone knows the names of the cottages that were there in 1939 I would greatly appreciate it.

Janet Wilson Smith (new Mitchell) is The mother of John Mitchell who was married to Isabella Haig Stevenson 3rd March 1947.
Janet was born about 1890 in Rathven Banffshire and died 25th December 1978, just wondering if anyone can help with her past and husband please.

Hi I am new to doing family tree stuff and have come across a member of the family from Galway
Patrick Wallace born 1832 in Galway and died 1903 Plymouth Devon he married a lady called Mary ?
had three known children - Michael 1868 and Bridget 1869 and Julia 1876-1952.
Just wondering if any one could throw some light on these relatives.

his name is (*), born 1938 at Banff, his mother is Isabella Haig Stevenson born 1920, his father is John Duncan of Backhill
