How to Use RootsChat (Please don't post requests here) / New Rootschat new format

Dear Administrators
I don't know where is best to post this
and you may well remove it

What I loved most about the old rootschat was the ease of use and layout
It was unique and so easy to use
Opening up the new format today and  I'm sad to say its lost it

It looks like now everyone board that exists
I'm sure I will get used to it
But sadly I don't know why people have to go and tamper with a product that was perfect  :'(

Technical Help / Premiere Elements question and multiple videos

Any experienced users of Premiere Elements?

We have a collection of history stories and wondering if it would work to combine them all into one file..with a menu screen that could allow selection of a story (most 3-5 mins long)

Now the real question, when they stories have been saved we have ended up with many files and varying file extensions..very confusing..
What file/extension would be the complete video

The one that seems to work is a VOB file?
does that make sense to anyone

Said I would help a friend with what seemed an easy track back to England given all the names..but admitting defeat!!  :'(

Marriage and death details say that
Name is Alfred or Alfred Lenard Kirkwood WILSON
Parents Alfred William Wilson and Alice nee CHAPMAN, father nurseryman
Born Folkestone or Ashford Kent, England about 1879

Alfred married for the 2nd time to May Williams 1914
First wife deceased 14/4/1904 and in NZ since c1909

Can't find a rego under any name eg tried Kirkwood etc... and no matching census

Can't find anything that matches back in England..so thought if I could find him coming to NZ..from where.when it may be a help

Can anyone see ALFRED WILSON coming to NZ c1909

Alfred Leonard Kirkwood Wilson's New Zealand death certificate 1929
Has that his fathers name is: ALFRED WILLIAM WILSON (a Nurseryman)
Mother ALICE NEE CHAPMAN
That he was born Ashford England
Arrical in NZ c1909

On his second marriage in NZ, it has widower and the date 14 April 1904..for supposedly when first wife died
The marriage cert had Folkestone as place of birth

Can anyone spot an Alfred or William who is a nurseryman c 1879 in Kent area??


I'm asking here in Scotland if there is a marriage for a ALICE CHAPMAN to ALFRED WILLIAM WILSON 187ish
Their son later uses a middlename of KIRKWOOD..and I see that several families in Scotland include this..but can so far find no connection

death cert info (New Zealand) has parents as Alfred and Alice Wilson (nee Chapman)
Birthplace Ashford or Folkestone

I can't make a match on any of the above
Found a family in Kent 1881 census but no Alfred son

Can anyone see anything I can't
Wondered about the Kirkwood, which is not always used, but can't see anything using that as a surname option
