I am trying to further research into the Whiten family. I believe in the 1780-1800 period they lived on Beech Street nr the Barbican. They were dissenters and I believe were buried in Bunhill Fields. I have most of their records, but not a confirmed address, or births for John, or Charlotte Purveur as she would have been.I believe John was born abt 1751 and Charlotte abt 1759.
In later generations the family were involved in bookbinding and stationery, however I don’t have any evidence that John and Charlotte were. I am intrigued by Charlottes surname of Purveur, but have failed to find any records at all for any Purveur’s. Were they French Huguenot refugees?
I would be most grateful if someone could help find any further information
