Tipperary / Roman Catholic Nuns
« on: Thursday 04 February 21 14:28 GMT (UK)  »
Is there a database exclusively for RC Nuns?  I suspect one of my ancestors may have joined the Order.  Where do I find out evidence to support that?
Thank you for your time.

Tipperary / Newspaper St.Mary's/Clonmel 1867
« on: Thursday 21 January 21 21:04 GMT (UK)  »
I have found a death certificate of a William Ryan, who I am hoping belongs to me.  He died in 1867 in Rathronan, Clonmel, Tipperary, at age 19, from a fracture of the skull.  Would there be a newspaper for that timeframe and for that place, where I could find an obituary?  That would really help in identifying if he belongs to me.
Thank you for your time.

Good Morning !
I have found my family's births in St.Mary's/Clonmel Parish.  Yet when I try to search for them in 1901 census, St.Mary's/Clonmel doesn't exist.  Pleasse advise.  Thank you.  Barbara.

Meath / Death Records CastletownKilpatrick

Also, there are no death records on the parish registers on NLI.  Does that mean they don't exist at all, or they do exist and the NLI just hasn't put them online yet?

Thanks in advance.

Meath / CastletownKilpatrick

Hello !

I have a mother and father who lived and died in the Gravelmount section of CastletownKilpatrick and a possible adult unmarried son and daughter who lived and died in the Ladyrath section of CastletownKilpatrick.  I desperately want them to be the same family.  Are these two sections close geographically?

Thank you for your time.

Meath / McBrides from Moynalty
« on: Friday 21 December 18 21:29 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for 3 people in the John McBride family from Golashane, Maio, Moynalty:

John McBride married Anne Cahill in the early 1800s.  They had 3 children that I know of.  Anne,
    John2, and Patrick1
     1.  I am looking for Patrick1, born 1830 in Golashane.  After this birth, there is no record of him.

John2 McBride married Bessie McMahon in Golashane in 1860.  They had 5 children:  Annie,
     Patrick2, Owen, Peter and Bessie
        2.  I am looking for Patrick2, born 1862 in Golashane and

        3.  and Bessie born in 1871 in Golashane.

I would truly appreciate any help anyone can give me.  Did they go to Scotland, England? Can't find them in USA. Can't find a death record so they didn't die in their normal life span.  None of these three are in the 1901.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Wexford / Wexford Workhouse
« on: Thursday 22 March 18 10:47 GMT (UK)  »
I think I found my ancestor's death certificate.  He died in 1889 at the Wexford Workhouse.  What was that?  Was it a poorhouse?  a hospital? He was 80 years old so I doubt he was able to "work" at anything.  Please advise.  Thank you in advance.
