US Lookup Requests / Wards of Caswell/Orange County and Guildford County North Carolina

Elijah Ward born 1777 in Caswell (or Orange Co due to year of birth). 1812 enlisted in Guilford Co's 6th Regt (as did a Solomon Ward from Caswell). 1816 he married Sarah Cochran (daughter of a preacher) in Clarke Co AL. He spent rest of his life in Walton Co FL.
I'm looking for any information concerning Elijah or Solomon Ward. They could be family or unrelated.
Many researchers has Elijah's parents as John "White Cloud" Ward and Nahoga Moniac aka Nancy Knight, a Creek. However, there's too many inaccuracies, lack of documentation and zero Native American DNA that backs up the family lore. I've ruled them out as parents for Elijah.
I'm having a hard time tracing my Ward line. My father, myself, several other family members have completed the ancestryDNA test and our results are on several DNA websites.
