The root name that I am tracing back is FREDERICK GEORGE WEBB.  Born Bridport c.1898.

Frederick George Webb was born c.1898 in Bridport and he was married to Brenda Ann FROST b.20.2.1938. in  St. Giles Hospital, Peckham/Southwark, London.  Frederick George Webb had known siblings by the names of Ernest and Gladys.

I THINK Frederick George's  father was Alfred Henry WEBB, b.1869/70. and his mother was Emily, but I'm unable to confirm, as I do not know the maiden name IF in fact it was Emily. 

I am now also having problems with the correct father of Alfred Henry Webb as there appears to be two different wives on the census when I looked.  Also having difficulties finding marriage certificates, so as to find maiden names.

Can anyone advise me about my great, great grandmother Mary RICHARDS.  I can't seem to trace any ancestry before her !

I believe Mary Richards was born in Chalfont, Buckinghamshire c.1803.

She married my great, great grandfather, William MARTIN on 15th October 1832 in South Bersted, Sussex.  (William Martin was born Cowden, Kent c.1805).

I found them on the 1851 census, living in Bermondsey, London and the 1861 census, living in Frindsbury, Kent. In 1861 they had a daughter, Lucy, living with them and their grandchildren Lucy and John.

I would just like to get further back from Mary Richards, but having difficulty finding her parents etc.

Please can you confirm the PARENTS of Letitia HEWITT, who I think was born I think in Liverpool c.1880 and possible death was 1967 in Liverpool. 

Letitia's siblings were Mary Ann b.1862....William L. b.1874....Rebecca b.1879

Possible parents are William Lea HEWITT c.1862 and his wife Mary ? but I just can't confirm this, or find out the maiden name of William Lea Hewitt's wife Mary.

I think I'm losing the plot.

My great uncle was William Lines, born abt.1892, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. A couple of discrepancies reference the date of death and also about his marriage.

The parents of William LINES were Alfred George LINES (known as George) and Anne CRANE.....siblings were Emily 1875 (my grandmother), Mary Ann 1873, Ada 1878, Eleanor 1882, Alice Rose (known as Rose)1884 and Richard Crane 1869 (born before marriage of mother Ann Crane).  All born Wheathampstead except Richard Crane)

First of all, were there TWO William Lines born at that time ?  One called William and one called William George ?

Also, was his death in 1901, as many have entered on Ancestry or was it in 1953 ? 

In a book I have of The Folly, Wheathampstead, there is a picture of Rose Lines having been evicted....the photograph and report were published 13th March 1953.  It also says that her invalid husband William Lines had been removed by ambulance and taken to St. AlbansCity Hospital, the day before the eviction.  The book also states that William was declared unfit through WW1 to serve.  So were there two William LINES (one William and one William George ?) 

Was he married to Rose STANFORD, or was he married to Rose FISHER ?  Possibly married to one of them in 1916.  The 1939 register shows William's wife as Lines and then its crossed through and Stanford and initial E in place of Lines, but members on Ancestry also show as Fisher.

I am TOTALLY confused.  Can anyone sort out this muddle for me ?
