Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / 1938 Wedding Photo Restoration

Hello

I would be grateful if you could help tidy up my grandmothers wedding photo. She is 92 and only has one photo of her wedding - this is just a portion of the photo - the original has over 60 people in it. Would it be possible to remove/fill in the creases and perhaps add a bit of colour? I want to be able to get it printed and frame it for her

Lanarkshire / City Orphan Home in Glasgow

Hi

Can anyone tell me where I should contact to get further information on possible 'inmates' of City Orphan Home, 13-21 James Morrison Street, Glasgow in 1901. I have tried Quarriers Homes but they say it was nothing to do with them

? I have checked the census so I know my GGF was living there but looking for further information on his situation at the time.

Any advice gratefully received

I received this photo of an ancestor from a much older cousin after she died, but unfortunately no one left in the family knows who it is for sure.

We are going through a process of elimination and I am hoping that Rootschatters might be able to help date the photo from the clothes the lady is wearing. Can you give me any pointers?

Hello

Could someone help tidy up this picture of my great grandmother, Nellie Hutchison? I have this picture which is in a bit of a state. Ideally, I would like to know what shes holding in her hand so if you could help in that area, I would very much appreciate it.

This is taken from an existing picture file so I hope the scanning resolution is high enough.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Coates in 1871 Census

Hi

It’s been a while since I posted but I am hoping someone can help me out. I am trying to trace a family in the Liverpool or Manchester area in the 1871 Census.

They are :
Robert Coates (head) approx 28
Jane?? (wife) approx 27
Sarah Hannah (daughter) approx 4

The wife (I think her name may have been Jane) died pre 1877 as Robert re-married in October of that year.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi, I have the attached picture of my great great grandfather and two of his daughters - I assume the other two and his wife are in the missing portion but who knows!!

Could anyone do anything to improve the condition of the picture here, big portions are missing and its in a terrible state I know, but perhaps someone could work a miracle? I think its from the 1920's judging by the look of my great granny who is on the left behind him.

Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

Hi All

I have a birth place in the 1920's of 251 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.

Can anyone tell me if there was a hospital or nursing home on this site at this time - the building has since been replaced with a new build.

I don't think it was a home address but anything is possible I suppose.

New Zealand Completed Requests / David Kennedy Hutchison and Grace Adams

I am looking for any information on David Kennedy Hutchison who was born on 19 Dec, 1824 in Kinnoul, Perth, Scotland. His parents were Alexander Hutchison and Janet Clark who were married in St Cuthbert's, Canongate in Edinburgh on 7 May 1816.

He married Grace Adams in Glasgow in 1845 and was a shipwright living in Liverpool in 1857 and I believe he was traveling to New Zealand but as I have his death in Levuka, Fiji in 1867, I had always believed he didn't get there although I believe his wife remarried and died in Karaka, Thames, New Zealand about 1902.

Does anyone have any information on David Kennedy Hutchison or his wife?
