« on: Friday 29 July 22 07:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi Everyone, One of my husbands ancestors states on her 1851 census she was born in Bloomsbury, London and as her parents where born in Ireland I think she and his siblings where baptised in a Catholic Church within the Bloomsbury district. So is there a Catholic Church Archives in London who I can contact to see if they hold parish registers for the Bloomsbury area of London. Many Thanks in advance for any help given.

« on: Friday 22 March 19 05:41 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Everyone,

One of my ancestors had a woollen mill at 5 Gloucester Street, Hunslet in the 1841 & 1851 Census. His son listed his address as Hope Mill, Hunslet on his wedding certificate in 1838.

But I can not find Gloucester Street, but think was near Huslet Lane.

Thank You to anyone who might be able to help.

Hi Everyone

I have a ancestor Margaret McKeich nee Smith  who was buried at Bo'ness Old Churchyard on the 10th January 1855 according to her death certificate. We are having trouble locating the burial of her husband John Smellie McKeich and wondered if he might be buried with her.

Not knowing the area at all, can someone please tell me where this Churchyard would be and if there might be lair information somewhere

Many thanks for to anyone who can help

Shropshire Lookup Requests / MADELEY Parish Register baptism lookup please
« on: Friday 24 August 18 06:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi Everyone, I am hoping that someone has access to the above parish register and could please do a lookup for me of my husbands ancestor.

William Rufus born  between 1810 -1815 Madeley Shropshire.

According to his 1871 census he has his age as 56 years = born 1815 but according to his death certificate in 1872 it has his age as 62 years = born 1810. I can not check other census as he was working overseas during that period.

If anyone can help I would be most grateful as I live in Aust and can not readily access the parish register myself.

Many Thanks
Kim
