Subject: John Nelson Scott Royal Manx Fencibles

Hello Ms Frances Coakley. My name is David Towns and I'm doing research on a Sealer John N Scott  in Tasmanian Waters from 1805 on wards. I noticed the same name Published in the,
Isle of Man Family History Society Journal Vol 1 No 3 1979   Another Manx Link with Trafalgar [Lewis B.  Reeves]

I am trying to rule in or out if they are the same man or just see the same name. The John N Scott I'm looking at could read and write and he left a Diary which is a rare skill in the sealing trade. The first Voyage After arriving in Australian is in the Ship John  on the tenth of November 1805. He most likely travelled on a ship called the Ceres or Honduras Packet that left Britain mid 1804 sailing to Bass Strait to commence sealing before both ships arrived in Sydney. Both Ship's returned to Britain, the last mention I've found online for John Nelson Scott in Britain is the 26/03/1804 in the Sun News paper. If you cold help me by finding a reference after 10th November 1805 for John Nelson Scott son of Patrick Scott so I can rule him in or out as the same man. I can't find any marriage, baptisms of Children or death record for John Nelson Scott only his birth recorded on 28th December 1773 Isle of Man.
Thanking you in advance David Towns.
